Good production facilities are of course a key part of manufacturing but without an experienced team of people to use the facilities they will never reach their full potential. It is the ProSynth people that give the company its remarkable strength and heart. A small highly motivated team with short focused lines of communication, which can and does continually achieve outstanding results. With our relevant collective experience well in excess of three centuries, our team would be honoured to draw on this experience to help to contribute to your success.
Meet the Team:
Don Gilbert (Managing Director) gained a PhD in organic chemistry from the University of Cambridge in 1977 and spent the first eleven years of his career with NIPA Laboratories, followed by four years with Melford Laboratories. He co-founded ProSynth with Brian Nash in 1992. Don remains extremely active in the day-to-day business of the company while Brian has recently retired and is thoroughly enjoying his well-deserved change of lifestyle.
Howard Craven (Production Director) has many years' experience of 'hands on' production, fine chemical troubleshooting and the management of people and resources. Howard is responsible for all aspects of routine production and custom synthesis and has been working closely with our larger-scale partner companies on process development projects.
Clare Bonnar (Commercial Director) graduated from the University of Bath with a degree in Chemistry with Management in 1999. She has become a chartered Company Secretary and so bears responsibility for all legal and commercial aspects of the operation.
The Production Team
ProSynth welcomes Dr. Stephen Mann (Production Manager) to the team. He brings with him a wealth of experience and a keen desire to help develop and grow the company.
Laboratory One - focuses on production of organic intermediates (Ric, Gareth, Tony, Brian and Chris)
Laboratory Two - carries out custom synthesis and process development (Dave and Tony)
Laboratory Three - specialises in custom synthesis (Dave and Adrian)
