We operate from a purpose built facility in the UK, fully equipped with a range of fume cupboards designed to give maximum production flexibility. In addition there are the production support facilities one would expect such as our analytical department, drying room, and specialist storage. Find out more about our production facilities.
Finished product and in-process testing is carried out both internally in the QC laboratory, and externally at the University of Cambridge. Find out more about Quality Control at ProSynth.
After final product testing and release each product is carefully packed, labelled and documented for despatch worldwide. Find out more about Despatching ProSynth Products.
The 20 Litre advantage
Our production equipment is based around the very versatile 20 litre scale. While this may not immediately seem the optimum size for semi-bulk production, one should not forget the practical advantages that come with such an easy to adapt facility. Production processes need to be robust, but not as well developed as plant production; this means that we can produce your product very quickly. Multiple runs can rapidly provide multiple kilos of product. Reactions that are difficult to control at plant scale become a far more solvable problem.
Expertise in 20 litre chemistry is, as many of our customers know, a far cry from the more theoretical skills of the R&D chemist. It can take years to develop these skills to a practical level and we have those skills in abundance.
Another advantage is clearly shown in the field of custom synthesis, particularly on the multi-gram to small kilo scale. Providing a useable 500g lot of an exciting research item requires extensive theoretical and practical chemical knowledge, excellent abilities in the first stages of scale-up and an appreciation of the time pressures involved. At ProSynth we bring all our skills to bear and have worked with many global organisations to provide them with quality custom chemicals in a timely fashion.
