Custom Synthesis I
Custom and synthesis are two words that are often used together and it might be useful to begin by defining what we at ProSynth mean by Custom Synthesis:
'The customer has a requirement for a compound that he needs synthesising for a specific purpose, in our experience usually for use directly in very early stage research or directly into production rather than put onto a shelf for a later sale. In our eyes this can mean anything from a two-stage synthesis to a fifteen-stage synthesis, ranging in scale from 10g to several hundred kilos'.
Custom synthesis continues to be our fastest growing business area. Since this work is commonly shrouded in confidentiality agreements, it is generally very difficult to discuss custom synthesis in detail. Last year over 200 custom projects were completed, and we are privileged to have worked with some very distinguished clients; it would seem that our customers approve of the way we operate and continue to make use of our custom project development and production services.
Several of our customers have moved to different companies and have continued to use our services in their new roles, such personal recommendations are particularly satisfying to receive.
